Work vs Hobbies

It will have come as a surprise to my teenager self, but I often enjoy my regular job more than my hobbies. And it's not like this one is my dream job, but what the "real world" offered and valued.

But... but... but... but... but... but (x12)

Oh sweetest Snoopy, how come?

Well, it turns out more of what I do turns out to be useful. Even if either stressing or boring, or sometimes at the same time. Further, I've learnt to make many things into a challenge. See how fast I can finish the [whatever stuff I do] or so...

I work for a regional government (let's say state for you Americans). If I do my stuff well people get paid in time, as fairly as the Law can provide for that. If not, well, that's not nice at all.

I also work with great people ™, which happen to be women, as far as I can tell. We work merrily. (It helps that we're Canarians, I guess (_)/

Anyway, now about the hobbies. There's this thing of, well, sometimes I'm just too tired to write fiction. It turns out that being creative is more tiring on the brain. It even works because, as I'm as stupid as a stone boat, I often write fiction in English.

That's the not the main thing, there's also

But neither of those is the main thing, which is, I don't really know if anything of the fiction I write is helping anybody. To me, it's often fun, and that's a little something... but it doesn't seem enough for the work I do and the other things I could be doing.
